Evaluating a Website
There are several things to look for when evaluating a website. Use the checklist below to help decide whether or not the website is real or a hoax.
1. Is the author's name listed?
2. Is there a contact page?
3. Is there a description of what the author does?
4. Can you tell if the author is an expert in his/her field?
5. Was the site updated fairly recently?
6. Can you tell whether the information is fact or opinion?
